This is going to be a multi part post due to the low number of pics you can post so bear with me please.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a roadie? Good news then! Upon completion of Jimi Hendrix's box set you are sent an official "roadie" certificate. This should get you into any show on the road. You may even be overqualified.

This box set, or as the box is titled, "Jimi Hendrix, Aug. 18, 1969-8:04am" has the most attention to detail that I have ever seen. Two stacks of amps, 4 foot effects, posable mic stand and a classic white inverted righthanded Fender Strat (we all know Jimi was south paw). Complete with cords to connect them all. Plus a really cool, if nearly impossible to assemble, stage to stack it all on.

    Jimi.

Jimi's paint job is as nearly flawless as I can tell. Even down to the intricate stitching pattern on the guitar strap, the painting is superb! I'm so glad McFarlane got the rights to the Fender logo!

Articulation takes a back seat but that's okay by me. As long as you can turn his head so it looks like he's bitching at the drummer's dropped beat I don't care for too much more.

    The stage.

Here's where your roadie skills come into play. This thing is a bastard to assemble! MAJOR BREAKAGE ALERT! The rigging comes with 2 different sets of clips that are just on this side of too small to fit where they're suppose to.

Tip #1: Use a small file on the slots of the big clips. It will make life easier!

Whilst wrestling with the rigging I knock over bystander Jimi who created a domino effect which resulted in an amp head crashing to the floor.

I thought I broke it! But then I realized that the backs of the amp heads just pop right out. AND LOOKY WHAT I FOUND! Yup, that covers Tip #2.

Even though I couldn't get mine opened, Sculpey sends proof that the details are also on the inside of the amps!

Great stuff! Perfect timing too, mine came in the mail today, soon to be assembled (without breakage thanks to the filing advice).

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I gotcha LV, and talk about bad timing for a comp to croak. Well at least you made it eventually on the shiny new comp expressway!
